Altair's JOE by Joseph Abboud introduces the fall eyewear collection, which features sustainable materials while the brand continues its socially conscious belief of "Only One Earth". Currently, the "renewed" eyewear offers four new optical styles, two made from plant-based resin and two designed from recycled stainless steel, a first for the brand and the Altair portfolio. Timeless and sophisticated, the new eyewear styles are comprised of best-selling shapes, an athleisure aesthetic, classic crystal and gradient colors and expanded sized offerings.
The plant-based resin is made from castor bean oil and is a clean alternative to standard petroleum-based plastics. The frame is made of vegetable resin, which is lightweight and durable.
Steel is the most recycled material on earth. The frame is made of 91% recycled stainless steel, collected from consumer use and updated to frame facades, bridges or temples.
Gabriele Bonapersona, Chief Brand Officer for Marchon Eyewear, said: “By introducing recycled stainless steel, we are excited to offer our customers more sustainable eyewear options. The brand’s commitment to sustainability aligns with ours, and this timeless collection seamlessly complements those efforts."
