Asensys® filters are a new range of contrast-enhancing eyewear from Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc. that can be worn alone or over prescription glasses to offer complete protection from the sun and annoying glare. Four colors—Yellow, Orange, Dark Orange, and Red—as well as cut-off transmissions of 450, 511, 527, and 550 nm are available for this distinctive colored eyewear (which is a novel tint not offered previously in any of their other absorptive filter lines!).
The Asensys® lenses feature no distortion and are composed of lightweight, high-quality CR-39 material. The patient has the option of wearing a polarized lens to safeguard their eyes while engaging in outdoor activities, as each hue is offered in both polarized and non-polarized variants.where there might be more glare. To optimize protection against glare from various angles, the eyewear is available in two frame sizes: XL small and XL large. Both sizes have side shields on the temples and top shield coverage above the eyes.
Every Asensys® filter offers 100% UV protection, reducing the risk of UV-induced eye damage, and can block 100% of blue light, depending on the hue. In addition to being prescription correctable, these special filters enable patients to add their prescription and choose the hue of their choice to the lens, eliminating the need for two pairs of glasses.
