Bajío’s completely clear, polarized, blue-light blocking reading glasses are designed to amplify the user’s visual experience. Designed for anglers who don’t need prescription sunglasses but want more power when tying knots and reading electronics, Bajío Readers offer both magnification and superior fish-locating capabilities in one pair of sunglasses. The brand introduced this line of lenses with the goal of helping those who switch back and forth between Readers and their favorite fishing sunglasses. Bajío Readers are custom-made on demand and come in a variety of full-frame styles that triple the four different lens options. Bajío’s Readers are hand-built in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and ship within 48 hours.

“We often see people walking around in their high-performance sunglasses with a clear Reader hanging around their neck. Our customers asked us for it, and we provided them with an industry-leading solution with LAPIS polarized lens technology,” said Renato Cappuccitti, Vice President of Rx Operations. “The Bajío Reader is available in all of our all-inclusive sunglass styles and most popular lens color options, and is built for our core customer who needs a little extra magnification in their lenses.”

Bajio Readers are made to order and fully customizable in our best-selling all-inclusive frames, including Bales Beach, Boneville, Eldora, Nato, Nippers, Ozello, Palometa, Piedra, Las Rocas, Stiltsville, Toads, and Vega, and the Bajío frames are made from plant-based nylon, which is treated to degrade quickly in the ocean and is gentler. The Bajío Reader is available in polycarbonate lens options – Green Mirror, Blue Mirror, Rose Mirror, and Grey, with magnifications of +1.50, +2.00, and +2.50, respectively. Each lens features durable scratch resistance and an oleophobic coating, making it easy to remove with sunscreen and water. Additionally, these lenses feature the brand’s proprietary LAPIS™ technology, which delivers exceptional clarity and provides an unparalleled visual experience.
