In line with this philosophy and as a tribute to art and artists, the brand has gone a step further and acquired the Church of Della Bazia in Venice, a historical space completely rebuilt in the 13th century that will be renovated and furnished to become the Moi Aussi Creative Lab, a place of work and accommodation for 24 international artists who participate in the project every year. The lab will also be open to other established artists or art collectives who wish to exhibit their work in Venice.

Moi Aussi is more than a brand, it is an art project conceived as a creative movement that embraces artists from all over the world, transcending any cultural borders and ensuring that the true purpose of art triumphs over any cultural, religious or ethnic diversity. The Moi Aussi logo is based on the verticality of the architectural elements of the Abbazia della Misericordia: columns, pillars and stained glass windows. Therefore, the purest geometry matches the poetry behind the project. This approach symbolizes the unique and distinct personality of each artist, representing “MOI” as the soul of the artist and “AUSSI” as a sense of belonging to the art world, a balance between form and creative expression.

An Artistic Committee, composed of experts from different disciplines in the art world, will be in charge of selecting the artists who will participate in this experience every year.

Every month, the Creative Lab will host two of these artists, who will live together and create five works of art using a pair of eyeglass frames. These will become the canvas for each of them to create their own works of art with freedom and imagination.

Of these five works, one will stay in the Moi Aussi gallery, another will be exhibited at the Etnia Barcelona Museum, two will be exhibited in art museums around the world and the last will be sold through auction.

All proceeds will go towards the reinvestment and sustainability of Moi Aussi projects.
