Vasuma Eyewear collaborates with famous architect Gert Wingårdh, his son Rasmus, and their company Wingårdh & Wingårdh to introduce three eyewear models. “Gert’s persona is strongly associated with his distinctive glasses, and that became the starting point for this collection,” explains Jan Vana, Creative Director at Vasuma. “Creating a new ‘Gert frame’ felt natural.”
In addition to the Gert-inspired frame, the collection contains two more frames. All three models depict architectural elements, with contrasts between straight lines and rounded forms. When Gert and Rasmus founded W&W two years ago, one of the first product categories they wanted to explore was eyeglasses, as Gert Wingårdh is now nearly an eyewear icon. The Vasuma Wingårdh and Wingårdh frames are available in two attractive color options: black and smokey ash. These frames are handcrafted in Italy from Mazzucchelli’s M49 Eco Acetate and feature strong 5-barrel hinges for long-lasting quality. The black variant has a matte coating on the front and temples.
Each frame has the ‘project logo’ engraved on the top of the front and a 3D Vasuma Cobra emblem on the temple tip for a unique touch. Each pair comes with a protective case and a polishing cloth.
